Today’s shopper is Kathy Owens and she’s making a cheese plate from Lelio & Sons Cheese.
Kathy’s showing off her cheese plate with Chris Masson of the Cheese Booth. She’s got cranberry-cinnamon goat cheese, parmigiano-reggiano, stilton with apricot, havarti with dill, smoked gouda, jarlsberg, danish blue, and garlic and herb chevre. She’s going to serve it with a big beautiful baguette.
Yum!
The Master Gardeners were on hand today in the Green Booth, as they are every month. Great gardening tips, free plants and seeds. They are awesome!

carrots,
parsley

She throws them all in her super-duper juicer, and bingo! Delicious and healthy!
as they are every month, doling out equal amounts of advice and seeds — all for free.
They are awesome.

There’s a new farm selling at the market as of today:
The LA County Department of Health was here today giving out Free H1N1 shots — and they’ll be at the market next week as well.
Plus Tulips are in season!
She takes 2 avocados, peels and chops them, but takes care not to mash them into a paste. She then chops 1 beefsteak tomato,
1/2 a red onion,
and a habanero pepper (which is spicy-hot, so use at your discretion) and adds it all to the avocado. The she juices 2 lemons and does a final mix, again, trying to leave it chunky. Delicious!
sold right here at the market! Plus you can order your holiday tamales here, too — but hurry!
December 20th is fast approaching…
