Pop’s Hot Dogs: The Newest Fun Food in Mar Vista

Have you tried Pop’s Hot Dogs yet? They’re new to Mar Vista, but soon they plan to have locations all over Los Angeles. Located inside the Robek’s at National and Barrington, Pop’s Hot Dogs is a great place to stop by for a quick bite. There are lots of options for your dog, including the Mar Vista, which I sampled and found delicious, I must say.

According to Pop’s:

Our Beef and Turkey Dogs are made of JUST MEAT. NO Cheap Mystery meats or fillers. NO gluten. NO nitrates. NO preservatives. NO byproducts. JUST the Finest meat.

Our natural casing makes our dogs POP with every bite! And please remember for those that don’t eat meat, our delicious ALL NATURAL Veggie Dogs are grain based, so they are not a mushy soy dog!

I highly recommend giving Pop’s a try. I know I’ll be heading back over soon, and this time I’ll try the SoCal.

Kelley Baker Brows and Stephanie Hobgood Hair: Luxurious Pampering Close By

I had the pleasure of meeting Kelley Baker and Stephanie Hobgood recently and I suggest you all may want to meet them, too!

Kelley Baker Brows and Stephanie Hobgood Hair are part of the new “Beauty Bungalows” salon on Abbot Kinney Blvd, just down the street from us in Mar Vista.

Kelley Baker is an artist whose medium is eyebrows. She sculpts and shapes and creates a frame for your face without over-tweezing or leaving you looking like some Hollywood Starlet from the 1940s. No penciled-in brows for her. She treated me to a session so I could show you the results. It was a really pleasant experience, not painful at all, and I think my brows look very nice all cleaned up. What do you think?

Kelley also has a line of brow products and lip colors. Check it all out at her very feminine salon.

Stephanie Hobgood is a hair stylist to the stars (and to those of us who are not movie stars as well). She’s got a very swanky private salon here in the Beauty Bungalows, so if you book with her you can have her and the salon all to yourself. Sounds like serious pampering to me!
