Rock and Roll At Timewarp Music Saturday, July 31st
Timewarp Music Store presents Saturday Night Summer Concert Series III, this Saturday night, July 31st, beginning at 8pm and going well into the wee hours. 
I would like you to take note of the up-and-coming rock band called 15 Minutes To Grace, co-founded by the MarVistaDad himself — my husband, Jim Carroll. They come on at 10pm, which, in my opinion, is very late at night, but I’ll be there enjoying the concert, if need be with a coffee in hand. Hope you can join us!
Westside Food Fest This Saturday 7/31 at Venice High

Come on out and help beautify our Mar Vista Library Saturday, July 31st, from 10am – 2pm. It’s a team effort!
Soaptopia’s Newest Location In Westfield Culver City Mall
That’s right, Soaptopia’s opened up a second location in the Westfield Culver City Mall 
and I checked it out the other day.
The signature tub is there, as is the customized cement floor. 
And of course all the same great products, like the soaps, scrubs, creams and phat lip lip balms. 
It’s a little bit of Mar Vista in the Mall.

Mar Vista Farmer’s Market Wrap-Up 7/25/10
Tonight I’ll be grilling a rack of lamb from Cali Farms. I love their food! 
New at the market today: walnuts and walnut oil from Rancho La Vina.
And the Green Booth hosted The Master Gardeners, as they do each month. They were giving away tomato plants today – sweet!
Mar Vista Makeover: Gas Station Edition
Got a paint job and apparently a new leasing agent. It’s a shame it’s been abandoned so long, but at least it looks cleaned up now. Curious if there’s been any interest in the property… Does anyone know?
Mar Vista Library Summer Reading Program For Kids
The Mar Vista Library is a calm oasis of air-conditioned quiet on a hot summer day, and right now they are in the midst of their summer reading program for kids called Knight Time Reading. The program encourages reading for fun and enjoyment and each child who participates will receive a special certificate at the end of the summer. 
The Library also hosts special event for kids and families during the summer, including a story and craft time at 4pm, Wednesday, July 21st and again on August 4th. On August 14th at 4pm the program is “Wonders of Wildlife” and on September 9th it’s the Finale.
