Calling all LAUSD parents! This Thursday, May 28th, from 7 – 9pm, the Mar Vista Community Council is co-sponsoring an Education Summit at Venice High. 
This promises to be FULL of information about what the budget cuts will mean to the schools and how we can be a part of the solution. Bring your questions and your enthusiasm! Our outgoing School Board member, Marlene Canter, will be there, as will Michelle King, Superintendent of LAUSD Local District 3.

I actually had to miss the event, so I wish I had notes on it, too! I am checking with the organizers and I’ll let you know what I find out. Thanks for the questions!!
We don’t have the notes compiled yet, but we have a full video of the event that we will eventually put on the web and we are hoping to condense the session into notes for a follow up in July.
